CHOOSE Or Be CHOSEN
Patience and perseverance was, is, and will always remain, two of the most distinguishable traits of every global success-hero. These two different words complement each other, and lose their effectiveness if practiced in isolation. Together these two words make a striking combination, and the consistent reference to them (alone or together) in the Holy Qur'an, is likely not a mere coincidence. For Example:

> Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere. (2: 155)
> But if ye persevere patiently, and guard against evil,-then that will be a determining factor in all affairs. (3: 186)
> You, who believe, when you meet an enemy, be firm, and remember Allah much, that you may be successful. And obey Allah and His Apostle. And fall with no disputes, lest ye falter and your strength fail; but be steadfast! For Allah is with those who patiently persevere. Be not as those who came forth from their dwellings boastfully. And to be seen of men and debar (men) from the way of Allah. And Allah encompasses what they do" (8: 45-46)
> Follow thou the inspiration sent unto thee, and be patient and constant, till God do decide: for He is the best to decide. (10:109)
> So patiently persevere: for verily the promise of God is true: nor let those shake thy firmness, who have (themselves) no certainty of faith. (30: 60)
> ....... Those who patiently persevere will truly receive a reward without measure!” (39: 10)
> Therefore patiently persevere, as did (all) apostles of inflexible purpose; (46: 35)
> And verily We shall try you till We know those of you who strive hard (in the cause of Allah) and the steadfast, and till we test your record. (47: 31)

To be patient and persevering is the most rendered advice during a job hunt or any other endeavor in life. These traits are crucial to maturely grasping the reality of achievement. When you march out in the battlefield searching for a JOB, be a “JOB” yourself. In the following chapters of this book, you will begin to appreciate the age-old wisdom behind this advice.
There are no menial jobs, only menial attitudes. (William Bennett)
